Under the leadership of GBS Software AG, GBS pay GmbH, based in Frankfurt / Main, was founded in 2019 as an alliance with NCR with the aim of providing a German-based of fering for the payment market to help banks transforming into platform banking
- by offering a modern omni-channel transaction hub capable of processing any kind of electronic transaction without impact to legacy back-office systems by converting any format into domestic standards if required and
- by enabling banks to introduce and add new payment products to their offering and at the same time integrating these into established banking procedures and by enabling banks to get a holistic transaction and customer centric view via one logic data base supporting their online real-time transaction processing GBS’ modern platform “AUTHENTIC” – which is in use worldwide already – will reshape the IT landscape in the banking world, characterised
- by a divisional silo structure. It will significantly shorten the time-to-market for the introduction of new products and service offerings and at the same time generate considerable cost savings.
GBS offering for the payment market is extremely customizable, highly efficient, customer proven with large installations, fully cloud ready, PCI-certified, in compliance with open banking PSD2 requirements.
With NCR’s development power, GBS has a software platform with „AUTHENTIC“ that fully meets the requirements of a state-of-the-art IT solution for real-time transaction processing in an open banking ecosystem, including all regulatory requirements. In more than 60 installations worldwide, “AUTHENTIC” proves its strength and efficiency on a daily basis.
Some of the key characteristics of “AUTHENTIC” include the consistent adoption of the customer perspective (customer centricity) or the comprehensive support and combination of modern payment systems (such as Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay etc.) with existing traditional core applications. At the same time, GBS pay offers “FRACTALS”, an innovative solution for fraud and risk management.
Thanks to the modern software architecture of “AUTHENTIC”, the independence of operating systems and the possibility of pure or hybrid cloud operation, we can both significantly shorten the time-to-market for the introduction of new products and services as a result, and at the same time achieve a reduction of up to 75{24d695b4042d45f8fb58ac1d8d9bc8250577d8d9e9e6dc15356538a543c7d4b5} of the operational costs for the IT infrastructure.
